4 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
¾ c. water
3 large egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
½ c. to 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Put sugar, syrup and water in saucepan over low heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved; then cook without stirring to 255º F. Remove from heat and pour constantly in a fine stream into 3 stiffly beaten egg whites into which the vanilla has been added. Continue beating until mixture holds its shape and loses its gloss. Then add nuts. Drop quickly from tip of spoon onto waxed paper in individual peaks or spread in a buttered pan and cut into squares when firm.
