1 C. Peanuts
1 C. Sugar
1/2 C. Light Karo Syrup
1/2 C. Water
1 Stick Butter
1 tsp. Baking Soda

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all of the ingredients (except the soda) in a large cast iron skillet.
Bring to a boil.
Cook until it becomes brittle (place a tsp. in cold water. The syrup will be brittle and can break.
Add the soda and stir very well.
Pour onto a buttered pan and spread out.

Wait until it hardens and break into pieces.

This is a Tucker Family favorite.
I can still see PaPa making the brittle on the counter in the kitchen.
It was always a special treat when we came to visit.
