2 -3 lb. fryer chicken, cut up
1 med. Onion
3 stalks celery
4 to 5 boullion cubes to taste
1 to 2 bay leaves
1/8 tsp. basil
1 ½ tsp. parsley
Salt, Pepper and onion salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Place chicken in large, 4 to 6 qt. pan and cover with water.
Add bay leaves, sweet basil, parsley, salt, pepper and onion salt.
Bring to a brisk boil, then simmer 1 to 1 ½ hours.

DUMPLINGS:
3 c. bisquick
¾ c. milk
Salt/pepper/onion salt/garlic salt to taste
Mix all dumplings ingredients together. After removing chicken and adding more water if necessary, bring to brisk boil. Drop spoonfuls of dough into boiling broth. Cook 10 minutes, uncovered, then 10 minutes covered.
