10 slices of thick-cut bacon...
2 T dark brown sugar...
1 t black pepper, course ground...
1/4 t fennel seeds...

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º...
Set a wire rack over a foil lined, rimmed, baking sheet...
Line up bacon slices on the wire rack, they can overlap, just a bit...
In a small bowl, stir together the sugar, pepper and fennel seeds, mixing well...
Sprinkle mixture over the bacon...
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes in oven, using the center oven rack...
Once most of the fat on bacon is rendered, remove from oven and cool to room temperature, this cooling, allows the sugar to harden...

I usually cook a pound or two of bacon and freeze, what is left over is for future use...
Place 3 strips of bacon on parchment paper and separate each layer with another sheet of parchment paper, freeze in large zip-lock gallon Baggie...
Try this bacon on your next BLT.....don't forget the peanut butter, too, on your BLT! Oh, so good!
