1 1/3 c. sugar
1 c. butter, softened
2 eggs, separated
4 T. milk
2 tsp milk
2 tsp vanilla
2 c. flour
2/3 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp salt
2 c. pecans finely chopped

Caramel filling
14 caramels
3 T. milk

Chocolate drizzle
1 c. semi sweet chips
2 T. shortening

Beat sugar, butter, egg, yolk, milk and vanilla. Mix well. Chill for 2 hour until firm. Form into balls. Beat egg white, dip balls in egg white and then pecans.
Place 1" apart on greased baking sheet. Press thumb in center of each cookie.
Bake at 350º for 10 to 12 minutes. While the cookies are baking, melt the caramels and milk.
After taking out of the oven, press the center of each cookie again. Fill with caramel filling. Cool. Melt together chocolate chips and shortening. Drizzle lightly over each cookie.
