2 1/2 lbs boneless skin less chicken thighs
2 tsp seasoned salt
1 can ( 12 oz) root beer NOT DIET
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup light brown sugar ( i use regular brown sugar)
1/4 cup molasses
2 tbsp yellow mustard
2 tsp liquid smoke
10 seeded rolls

Recipe for rainbow slaw:
1 package broccoli slaw
1 packed regular cole slaw
2/3 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp cider vinegar
red cabbage (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Coat slow cooker with spray. Put chicken in slow cooker ( thawed or frozen; i have done it both ways) sprinkle chicken with season salt. Add root beer to crockpot. Cover and cook on high for 6 hours ( a little longer if chicken is frozen) when chicken is all done drain shred and drain liquid , but keep 1/2 cup for later.

Meanwhile heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium high heat. Add ketchup, brown sugar, molassed, mustard and liquid smoke . Simmer, coverd for 10 minutes stirring occasionally. when sauce is done pour over chicken and add remaining 1/2 cup liquid that was saved. mix all together.

Rainbow slaw.
in a large bowl whisk together 2/3 cup mayonnaise , 2 tbsp cider vinegar 1 tsp vegetable oil 2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp celery seed and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Fold in 1 packaged broccoli slaw , 1 cup cole slaw, and some shredded red cabbage for color ( i dont ever use red cabbage) cover and set in fridge until it is ready to be served .
