4 ounces dried apricots
1/2 cup water
2 T sugar
1 1/4 cup flour
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup cold margarine or butter
1/2 cup coconut
3/4 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Boil uncovered over high, apricots and water unti boiling. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer until very tender (about 30 minutes). Mash with fork. Stir in 2 T sugar. Cool completely or chill until cool.

For Crust: Stir together flour, brown sugar, salt, cold margarine until crumbly. Stir in coconut, oatmeal and walnuts.

Preheat oven oto 325º. Press half of crumb mixture into ungreased 8 inch square pan. Spread apricot filling over leaving a1/4 inch border. Sprinkle with remaining crust crumbs. Press down. Bake 60-70 minutes. Cool in pan 15 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool completely. Chill. Cut into squares.
