1 package dry yeast
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 T sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 T dried minced onions or 2 teaspoons grated raw onion
1 T dillseed or dillweed
1-2 T butter
1/4 cup 120- 130 degree water
1 cup lukewarm large curd cottage cheese
1 lightly beaten egg
2 1/4 cups flour, divided
melted butter
course sea salt

Directions:

In large bowl, mix 1 package dry yeast, 1/4 cup flour, baking soda, 2 T sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, onions and dill. Combine all together. Add 1-2 T butter and 1/4 cup warm water. Beat 2 minutes at medium. Add cottage cheese, egg and 1/2 cup flour. Beat at high speed 2 minutes. Beat in to make a stiff batter: 1 1/2 cup flour. Cover and let risee until double. Stir down and transfer to a well-greased heatproof, 1 1/2 quart casserole. Cover and let rise until doubled. Preheat oven to 350º for 35-40 minutes. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sea salt.
