3/4 C chopped onion
3/4 lb. lean ground beef
3/4 lb. hot italian sausage
1 can tomato puree
12 oz. tomato paste
2 C water
1 TBSP chopped parsley
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano
lasagna noodles
16 oz. ricotta cheese
8 oz. shredded mozzarella
1 C grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Remove casing from sausage and break into small bits. Brown sausage and beef with onion. Add paste, puree, and spices and simmer uncovered about 30 minutes stirring occasionally. Meanwhile cook lasagna as directed. In 9 X 13" pan, spread about 1 C sauce. top with noodles, sauce, ricotta, mozzarella and Parmesan ending with sauce, mozzarella and Parmesan. Place on foil in oven and bake @ 350º 40 - 50 minutes until lightly browned and bubbly. Allow to stand 15 minutes before serving.
