1 12 oz. box frozen potato and onion pierogi
3 c. small broccoli florets
3 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. walnut pieces
1/4 tsp.red pepper flakes
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Cook the pierogi and the broccoli in a pot of salted boiling water until the broccoli is just tender, about 5 minutes. Drain well.
Heat two tablespoons of the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions, cover and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Remove the lid, and stir in the walnuts and red pepper flakes. Add the broccoli and the pierogi and cook to lightly brown the pierogi, about 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper and drizzle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

The first time I had pierogi was at Charley's home and Mom seemed to become adept at making them. She says if you like them you will like this. So if you do make sure you set a plate for Charley because he may show up for a taste.
