Gather green hulled walnuts before they get too hard to cut up and slice. Put the slices in a gallon jug. Cover with coal oil. Let set for four to six weeks, or as long as you want past four weeks. Drain off the coal oil and put camphor gum in the coal oil and it will make a good liniment. A block of camphor gum in each small bottle will do (three cakes to a gallon jug). Buy camphor gum at the drug store. This liniment aids in healing sores and is especially good for scraped knees and elbows,
