4 to 6 Apples (Granny Smith are good)
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Water
½ package Cinnamon red hot candies

Directions:
Directions:
Peel apples, half and remove core. Make syrup with sugar, water and candies. Simmer until candies melt. Add the apples and slowly cook until fork tender, yet hold their shape. Remove with slotted spoon and continue cooking the rest of the apples. Place apples in a Pyrex dish (9X13), put some syrup over apples, then put small dots of butter on each piece. Can be refrigerated at this point for later use or bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees before serving.
