Ingredients:  
2 bunches of Bitter greens (Swiss Chard, endive, mustard, kale, or etc.) some greens cook down more than others, be your own judge.
1 can chicken broth (More or less depending on the quantity of greens should be liquid but not soupy.)
1 good sized potato, diced
¼ pound of bacon, diced
I can of Great Northern beans
4 or 5 cloves of garlic (more if you like)
2 Tbs. Olive oil
Crusty bread
Diced onion if you like

Directions:

Brown bacon until crisp and remove from pan. Add olive oil, onions and sliced garlic - sauté until onion is soft.

Wash and chop greens sauté in onion garlic mixture a little at a time stirring till all is coated. Cover and let simmer for about 10 min.

Add chicken broth and simmer until greens are the texture you like, then add diced potatoes and cook till potatoes are fork tender. Add the beans and crisp bacon and simmer until warm.

Serve over broken pieces of crusty bread.

Attached is my Mother's recipe for bitter greens. I think you may
