mushrooms, sliced
onions, chopped
roasted garlic, diced
red wine
whipping cream
salt, pepper
fresh basil

Directions:
Directions:
Slice mushrooms.
Saute onions and garlic in butter. Add sliced mushrooms.
When mushrooms have cooked down a little, cover with red wine.
Let reduce over medium heat. Add a splash of cream.
Let simmer over low heat.
Season to taste with salt & pepper.
Add fresh basil on the side before serving.

On a family vacation to Alberta Canada, we went to the Banff Springs Hotel where Rick and Kris stayed on their honeymoon. The mushrooms were so delicious that Lee asked the chef for the recipe. They've been a special addition to a great meal ever since.
