Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1-1/2 lbs Lean Ground Chuck (beef)
2 Small Onions
2 Medium Tart Apples
1 Egg
2 Slices of White Bread (with crusts removed)
1/2 C Milk
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Pepper
2 T Flour
1 Medium Raw Potato

Directions:
Directions:
Grate into a medium bowl, one onion, potato, and apples on a medium fine grater to form a mush type pulp. Add Ground Chuck, egg and seasonings. Place the two pieces of white bread in a small bowl and pour the milk over it. Allow it to soak up the milk and then wring it out until it is somewhat dry. Put this mixture into the beef mixture and mix it well with your hands. Place a couple of Tbls. of canola oil into a medium hot skillet. Dice the second onion, roll the beef into walnut sized balls and brown with the onions in the skillet, turning to brown on all sides. As they brown, take them out of the skillet and place onto a plate until all are browned. If there is excess grease, pour some out. I add a can of beef broth to the skillet, bring to a simmer, scraping up brown bits from the pan. Mix a couple of Tbls of flour and some cold water into a medium thick paste, remove skillet from heat, and slowly add the flour mixture, stirring continuously so that it doesn't get lumpy. Place the meatballs into a glass casserole, pour gravy over it and cover with a lid. Bake for approximately 35-40 minutes at 350º. Serve over hot freshly cooked noodles.
