2 cans clams, drained (save juice)
1 cup diced potatoes
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup diced carrots
1/2 cup chopped celery
3/4 cup butter
5 Tblsp. flour
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 quart half and half
1/2 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled

Directions:
Directions:
Cook potatoes, carrots, onions, and celery in clam broth and just enough water to cover vegetables. Use same pan bacon was fried in to give great flavor. In another pan, melt butter and put in flour, pepper, and salt. Add flour mixture to cooked vegetables, then add cream, bacon and clams. Heat until thick.
