2 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 cup shortening
3/4 cup milk (or less)
1 egg

Roll and spread with:
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1-1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 3 ingredients. Stir thoroughly.
Cut in shortening until crumbly, Lightly beat egg and add milk. Pour into flour mixture and stir quickly to combine. Dough should be soft. Kneed gently and turn out onto a floured surface. Roll out flat and spread with the sugar cinnamon mixture. Roll up as for a jelly roll and slice in 3/4 inch slices. Place on a greased baking pan. Bake in a 450ºF oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
