Sauté in large sauce pan – over medium to hot heat
Add 2 T butter
Cut up pieces of 3 slices of bacon
˝ small onion – diced in small pieces
1 Garlic minced or garlic powder to taste (1 t powdered)
Add one can of chicken stock
Add 1 quart of Half & Half to the pan

Make a paste in a glass measuring cup with 4 T. flour and about ˝ cup of water – Wisk until it is smooth and then add to the pan - keep stirring it in. You can make more paste if you want your soup thicker – but wait until you have added the vegetable and then see.
Add ˝ t. pepper + salt to taste or you can use Montreal seasoning to your taste
Microwave cut up pieces of broccoli and cauliflower for 6 minutes (about 2 cups total) in about ˝ of water covered with saran (cut pieces as small as you want them in your soup or when cooked you can chop by hand or throw in the blender and make a sauce. Water and vegetables goes in the soup pan
Add this mixture to your soup and cook for about 30 minutes Check seasoning and then serve. It is a milk based soup, so if you have left over’s after the second day put them in the freezer for another day.
