Ingredients: 1 clove garlic, crushed 1 bay leaf, crumbled 1 Tbs rock or kosher salt 1 Tbs smoked paprika ½ tsp chili flakes ½ tsp freshly ground pepper 3 Tbs olive oil 3 Tbs white wine . Bone-in, Skin-on Chicken Pieces (I used a whole cut up chicken) 1 lemon or lime, halved (optional garnish)

Directions:1. Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl.
2. Rub over chicken thighs and marinate in the fridge for 1 to 24 hours.
3. Grill chicken on the barbecue on medium-high heat until chicken is tender and the juices run clear when gently pressed.
OR
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lay chicken in a baking dish and bake for 30-40 minutes (until chicken is tender and the juices run clear when gently pressed).
4. Squeeze a bit of lemon or lime over the cooked chicken for an added burst of flavor. |

Notes: This has the right amount of kick with the paprika and chili flakes. The wine really adds flavor, though the original recipe I tried didn't call for it. It reminds me of the chicken you order at Portuguese restaurants.
