4 lbs. small navy beans
2 1/2 lbs. brown sugar
4 to 6 lb. ham with bone
little onion

Directions:
Directions:
Soak beans overnight. Cut meat from bone and cut into pieces. In roaster add soaked beans, ham bone, and skin and fat from ham. Add brown sugar, onion and salt. Cook 4-5 hours till beans are soft. Remove the ham bone, skin and fat. Add ham pieces. Make sure there is always enough water covering the beans. Continue cooking beans for another 2-3 hours. It takes about 7 hours in all!

Norrine Beske was Donna's mother and also Howard's aunt! For Pie Supper Recipe increases to 80 lbs. of beans, 27 bags or so of brown sugar and 9 7-8 lb. hams!!
