1 qt. grape juice (if using home canned juice, add at least 1/2 cup sugar)
1-1/2 tsp whole cloves
2 sticks cinnamon (2 inches long) or 1 tsp ground cinnamon
4 pieces of orange rind or 1 tbsp. orange juice.

Directions:
Directions:
Heat all the ingredients, Simmer 10 minutes, Strain to remove spices, Serve hot or cold.

Optional: lemon juice added to this drink improves the flavor.

NOTE: whole spices are used instead of the ground spices so that the drink will be clear.
Orange rind is about the size of a quarter and free of white pulp.
