4 C. Sifted Flour - sift with the nutmeg
2 scan tsp. nutmeg
2 1/2 C. Sugar
6 eggs - beat the yolks and whites separately.
2 Sticke Butter
1 Quart Pecans - chopped coarsely
1 C. Whiskey
1 1/2 lbs. White Raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Dredge the pecans and raisins in the sifted flour.
Cream: Butter and sugar. Add beaten egg yolks. Add Whiskey.
Add: Flour, Pecans, and raisins 1 C. at a time.
Fold in egg whites - which have been well beaten.
Line a Tube Pan or 2 Loaf Pans with Brown Paper.
Pour in the cake mixture.
Bake at 300º for 2 hours.
If you use loaf pans (2) bake for 1 1/2 hours.
