Dough:
4 cups all purpose flour
3 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup Crisco
1 cup water - beat 2 eggs into it.

Filling:
4 medium potatoes
2 cups extra sharp cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Make Dough:
Mix dough and kneed lightly. Divide into 4 pieces and work with one piece at a time. Roll dough into 1/4 inch thick and cut into round circles.

Make Filling:
Boil potatoes until tender and drain. Mash potatoes and add cheese.

Spoon filling onto circles, turn each one in half and seal tightly.
Bring water to a boil and boil pierogi about 7 minutes.

Serve with melted butter & sour cream.
