1 lb. ground beef
½ cup chopped onion
1 jar salsa (8 oz.)
1 green pepper, chopped
1 small can black olives
1 small can sliced mushrooms
1 tsp. salt
1tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. minced garlic
½ tsp. ground cumin
1 loaf unsliced French bread
2 c. shredded cheddar (or blend)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook beef and onion in a large skillet, drain. Stir in Salsa, green pepper, salt, chili powder, garlic & cumin. Remove from heat. Cut loaf in half lengthwise, place on baking sheet. Spread meat mixture over cut sides, sprinkle with cheese (an optional toppings). Bake at 450 for 10-15 min. or until cheese is melted. Yields 9 servings.

(Katy’s note: The meat needs more kick to it. I added steak seasoning along with other spices but still needs more. Jeremy added jalapenos peppers).
