Mix in double boiler:

2/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 Tablespoons cornstarch
1 Tablespoon flour

3 cups milk
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 Tablespoon butter
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Stir in gradually 3 cups milk. Cook and stir constantly until mixture thickens. Boil one minute, then blend into 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten half of the hot mixture, then pour back into hot mixture in sauce pan. Boil one minute. Remove from heat and blend in: 1 Tablespoon butter
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

For Coconut Cream Pie: sprinkle coconut in bottom of pie crust. Pour in vanilla cream. Top with meringue and cover with coconut. Bake until golden brown.
