2 LB ground beef
1/2 Medium onion minced
2 - 15 oz cans chopped tomatoes with garlic and oregano
2 - 6 oz cans of tomato paste - Italian style
2 Tbsp minced garlic
1 Cup good red wine (merlot, cabernet etc)
1 Tsp coarse pepper
1 1/2 Tsp Onion powder
1/2 Tsp Garlic powder
1 1/2 Tsp dry marjoram leaves crushed by your finger tips
1 1/2 Tsp dry basil leaves crushed by your finger tips
1 1/2 Tsp dry oregano leaves crushed by your finger tips
1/2 Tsp celery salt
1 Tsp seasoned salt
3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Brown ground beef and onions. Drain grease. If you want some texture, puree 1 can tomatoes and leave the other can as is. If you do not want any texture, puree both cans. Add to beef. Using the tomato cans, add two cans of water. Add the tomato paste and stir until combined. Add the remaining ingredients except the wine. Bring to a boil and then turn down to a simmer. Simmer 1 hour being sure to stir ever so often. Add wine to sauce and simmer another hour while stirring occasionally. After about 15 minutes after adding the wine, taste to see if you need to adjust the salt or pepper.
