1 ½ cups soy sauce
½ cup teriyaki sauce
1 ½ cups brown sugar
1 ½ cups red wine vinegar
1 Tbsp ground ginger or several slices of fresh ginger
1 ½ tsp dry mustard
1 or 2 fresh pineapples , cut up

Mix all together. Marinate beef over night or for at least 8 hours.

This marinade was originally used by Mom for large BBQs … great on short ribs.. but with the fresh pineapple-- it will tenderize anything if left overnight to marinate. When the boys were playing football, I would make up a triple batch and buy 50-60 cheap chuck steaks and marinate them and serve them for the team dinner.. they actually become tender enough to cut with a good plastic knife!
It is too much of a tenderizer for chicken.. but awesome on flank steak.
AND an added bonus is that you can freeze the marinade and use it again.. I have frozen it in jars from fall until the next summer and had great results..
