2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp. almond extract
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup canned whole berry cranberry sauce

Glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 to 2 tbsp. water
1/4 tsp. almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium bowl, sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside. In another bowl, cream butter, sugar and eggs. Add sour cream to creamed mixture. Add flour mixture, almond extract and nuts. Beat until smooth. Reserve 1/4 cup cranberry sauce. In a greased tube pan, layer 1/2 of remaining cranberry sauce, then cover with 1/2 of the batter. Next layer the other 1/2 of cranberry sauce, then the rest of the batter. On the top put the reserved 1/4 cup cranberry sauce. Bake in a preheated 350º oven for 45 minutes. Glaze: Mix all the ingredients to a spreading consistency and use to glaze the cake.
