1 c. sifted cake flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. egg whites
1/4 t. salt
1 1/4 t. cream of tartar
1/4 t. almond extract
1 t. vanilla.

Glaze
1/2 stick of soften butter
1 c. powder sugar
few drops of milk
Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour and 1/2 c. sugar together, put egg whites and salt in mixer bowl and beat at medium speed till peaks start to form. Add cream of tartar and beat till stiff, then add the rest of the sugar. Add flavorings, sift in dry ingredients, small amount at a time, fold in by hand. Be very gentle. Cook in slightly greased tube pan 1 hour at 325º

Glaze: 1/2 stick of butter, soften,1c. powder sugar and a few drops of milk
Mix together and spread on top of warm cake.
