Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup water, lukewarm
(I usually take half milk, half water)
1 pkg dry yeast
1 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp or so, melted shortening
3 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dump 1 pkg yeast into lukewarm water. Add salt, sugar and shortening. Stir in 3 cups flour. Knead until stiff and easy to handle. Let rise-punch down and let rise again. Shape into rolls like hamburger buns, leave space between them on a baking sheet so they bake separately like buns. Can be made into a long loaf like French Loaf.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Note to Nona from Grandma O: If you want something quick and easy and still so good for not so rich & sweet a roll. Good for hamburger etc. Marge stirs these up in no time at all - her favorite.
