1 c. butter or margarine (2 sticks)
3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 - 15 oz. can of pumpkin
2 tsp vanilla
5 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 - 12 oz. package chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy. Beat in pumpkin eggs and vanilla. Mix and add flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. Mix well. Add chocolate chips and nuts. Chill dough for several hours or overnight. Drop by teaspoons on well greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350º for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.

Makes 60 large cookies.
