2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 16-oz. can pumpkin
1/4 c. golden or dark brown sugar
2 1/2 tsp. Special Seasoning (recipe follows)
1 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. half & half
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 9-in. unbaked pie shell

Special Seasoning:
4 tbsp. ground cinnamon
2 tbsp. ground allspice
2 tbsp. black pepper
2 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. ground nutmeg
1 tbsp. ground cloves
1 tbsp. ground ginger
Mix all spices together. Store in an airtight container for use in other baking. Makes about 3/4 c.

Mix together the eggs, vanilla, pumpkin, sugar and Special Seasoning mix. In a saucepan, mix the evaporated milk, half & half and sugar; cook over low heat until sugar dissolves. Add to the pumpkin mixture. Pour into pie shell and bake at 425º for 15 minutes. Lower heat to 350 degrees and cook for 25 minutes.
