1 or 2 heads of cabbage - cored and rough chop
4 to 5 russet potatoes - peeled and quartered
2 slices of bacon - cooked
salt and pepper
1 chicken knorr bouillon cube
1 cup water
1/2 stick of butter

Directions:
Directions:
Cook bacon until crisp. Clean cabbage and core.
Peel potatoes and quarter.
In a large pot add water, bouillon and 2 tablespoons bacon drippings.
Add cabbage and potatoes.
Salt and pepper
Cook on medium heart for about 10 minutes or until tender.
When finished cooking add butter, remove from heat and cover.

Cabbage is a great vegetable especially in the winter months. I usually fix baked sweet potatoes, meat loaf and black eye peas. Don't forget some good ole cornbread and iced tea. Enjoy!!! This is always made on New Years Day a must!!
