1 lb. hamburg
1 1/2 slices of bread, cut up into small pieces
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 c. ketchup
1/3 c. milk
1 can tomato soup
1/4 c. water
6 green peppers

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together, except for the tomato soup and water. Core out the green peppers and fill with the hamburg mixture. Place in a baking dish. Mix the water with 1/2 of the can of tomato soup in a small bowl. Pour over the peppers. Cover and bake at 350º for an hour to an hour and a quarter.

Grandma used to make this often when the peppers were in season. I have changed the recipe to use tomato paste instead of tomato soup, as a result of Mom's no-salt diet. Tomato paste has only 10 mg. of salt. And, we like it better.
