Pecan Pie
3 eggs
1 cup dark corn syrup
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup brown sugar
1 - 1 ½ cup pecan nuts

Pie crust (one 9” pie)

1 ½ cups flour
½ cup Crisco
5 Tbsp. ice cold water
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat eggs slightly. Stir in the other 4 ingredients using a spoon; mix thoroughly. Mix in pecans. Pour into unbaked 9” pie crust . Bake on center rack of oven for 55 minutes (not a minute longer!). Let cool for at least 2 hours.

Directions for the crust:
Cut Crisco into flour, add water and salt and mix. Roll out into a circle, place in pie dish and cut off excess.
