Dough:
1 cup flour
2 tbsp water
1/2 cup butter

Filling:
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp almond extract
1 cup water
1 cup flour
3 eggs

Icing:
3 oz cream cheese
2 tbsp cream
2 tbsp butter
Powdered sugar to make smooth
Chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
For dough, cut butter into flour. Sprinkle water and mix with fork. Shape into 2 blocks. Pat into 2 strips on a greased cookie sheet. Filling: Combine butter and water in saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil. Add almond extract. Remove from heat. Add flour. Stir until smooth. Add one egg at a time, beat after each egg with mixer until smooth. Spread over dough. Bake at 350º 55-60 min. Cool. Mix cream cheese, cream and butter. Add powder sugar to make smooth. Frost then sprinkle with nuts.
