1 Box 100% Bran Buds
1 Cup Melted Butter (2 sticks)
3 Cups Sugar
4 Beaten Eggs
1 Quart Buttermilk
5 Cups Flour
5 TSP Baking Soda
2 TSP Salt

Optional:
You can add dried fruit to the wet batter before refrigerating, or add what you want just prior to baking
1-2 cups dried fruit, such as raisins, tart dried cherry, blueberry
1 cups Quick Cooking Oats

Directions:
Directions:
Put all of the bran into XXL bowl
Pour buttermilk over the bran, let it soak while you prepare the rest
Mix together the Flour, sugar, baking soda and salt
Beat eggs into melted shortening
Mix the dry ingredients into the moistened bran/buttermilk - OK to have some dry bits
Add the eggs/melted shortening and mix until just combined.

Refrigerate in tightly covered container up to 6 weeks.
Mixture will be very thick when chilled

To Use:
Pre Heat oven to 400'
Grease muffin tins
Fill each greased cup to about 2/3 full with batter
Bake for 15-20 minutes
