Personal Notes:
Anyone who has spent any significant amount of time in Lafayette has had a fruit drink from the Custard. And anyone who has had a fruit drink from the Custard has counted the minutes until their next fruit drink from the Custard. While looking through some of my grandmother's (Bowers) recipes, I found this and waited approximately 48 hrs before I couldn't wait any longer to try it out. I can happily report that this recipe is pretty dang close to the fruit drink you get from the Custard. The only thing that would make it better would be a lot of chewy ice, and a tiny straw to drink from. Make this now! A perfect summertime (or anytime) treat!
