3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
4 ripe bananas, mashed
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 cups buttermilk, well shaken
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF
Grease 2 9x5 inch loaf pans
With an electric mixer, cream the butter & sgar.
Add eggs. Beat in the bananas and vanilla.
Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Add the banana mixture, alternately with the buttermilk,
beginning and ending with flour. Fold in the nuts.
Pour into the pans and bake for 55 minutes.
