1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
1 sweet onion (Vidalia, hula, etc.)
1/2 bunch fresh cilantro
1 tsp. minced garlic (to taste)
3/4 Tbsp. salt
1/2 to 1 tsp. garlic pepper or regular pepper
1-3 minced serrano chilies (to taste)

Directions:
Use food processor or finely chop onion and cilantro and add to crushed tomatoes in a bowl. Add finely minced garlic, salt, pepper and very finely minced chilies and mix.

Note: Seeds in chilies are hotter than the meat and can be eliminated if desired. Adjust all seasonings to personal taste. Fresh tomatoes may be used along with lime juice for a Pico de Gallo type salsa
