1 gingerbread packaged mix
1 envelope cook and serve lemon pudding
or
1 can apple sauce

whipped cream optional
Directions:
Directions:
Bake gingerbread in a pan according to package directions.
Cook lemon pudding according to package directions.
Cut gingerbread into serving pieces and top with warm lemon pudding.

OR Top with warm applesauce. Dash of cinnamon is good.

Top with whipped cream - optional

This was a familiar dessert in my family growing up. It's a traditional French Canadian dessert often seen in Nova Scotia and Quebec where my ancestors came from.
