2 oz. butter, chilled
2 oz. shortening
5.25 oz. pastry flour (½ cake flour & ½ all purpose flour)
1 fluid oz buttermilk
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. sugar
¼ tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cut the butter into medium dice
Combine flour, salt, sugar and butter
Combine buttermilk and vanilla
Cut butter into the flour mixture
Combine the butter milk to the flour mixture until dough holds together do not overmix.
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill before using
To blind bake cover dough with parchment fill with beans and bake at 350ºF for 10-15 minutes. Remove the weights and bake until golden brown and fully cook 10-15 minutes
