4 cups plus 1 can beef broth
1 can lean ground beef
1 pound ground hot Italian sausage
1 large onion chopped( can substitute frozen chopped onions)
3 stalks celery sliced thin
1 can sliced carrots, drained
2 cups frozen corn
1 can green beans, drained ( or 2 cups frozen green beans
1 can Baby Lima Beans, drained
1 can diced tomatoes with oregano and basil( Italian Style)
1 can tomato sauce (optional)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. paprika
2 tsp. Italian seasoning
3 cups uncooked long grain rice (substitute instant rice equal to 6 cups cooked rice)
Shredded Cheese for optional topping

Directions:
Directions:
In a heavy 5 quart pan, brown the meat together, drain off fat if any. Add water, beef broth, veggies and seasoning to the pan with meat. Bring to a boil, add the rice. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is tender. Stir and mix thoroughly. If mixture seems dry, add the tomato sauce. Cover and let stand. Standing helps the flavors to blend.

Top each serving with shredded cheese.
