1/2 c shortening (or butter or margarine softened)
1/2 c peanut butter
1/2 c granulated sugar
1/2 c packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 c flour
3/4 tsp soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c finely chopped peanuts

Directions:
Directions:
MIx shortening, peanut butter, sugar, and egg. Add flour, soda, baking powder, and salt. MIx well , cover and chill.
Heat oven to 375º. Shape dough into 1 inch thick balls, roll in peanuts. Place 3 inches apart on greased baking sheet and press with a glass. Bake 10-12 minutes
