1 ham bone with meat still on it for full flavor
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
28 oz. canned diced tomatoes,
1 tsp.or so salt
1/4 tsp.pepper
pinch of cayenne pepper
1 tsp. powdered garlic
2 potatoes diced
1 cup chopped carrots
1 cup diced ham meat
1 big can cooked Red Beans, drained (or any other kind of beans, lentils, etc)

Directions:
Directions:
Cover the ham bone with water by two inches and let boil for 15 minutes, then turn the heat down to medium and let all that good flavor soak for about another 45 minutes. Take this broth and put in a pot. You want a total of at least 6 c.of liquid. Then add everything but the beans, ham and salt; cook until the veggies are tender. Then add beans and ham. Season with salt to taste. You can add a dash of liquid smoke if it is not smokey enough. Serve with some good bread.
