1 whole or 1/2 Beef Brisket, trim off most of fat
Slices of onion
Seasonings:
Onion Salt
Garlic Powder
Liquid Smoke
Celery Seed









Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle meat with seasonings. Place slices of onion on top of brisket. Wrap tightly in a double thickness of aluminum foil, fat side up. Seal as tightly as possible. Place in a shallow baking pan. Bake for 5 to 8 hours at 250º F. (length depends upon half or whole brisket). Do not open while baking. Allow brisket to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing across the grain. Serve with barbecue sauce. Save juice from meat to use when reheating leftovers.
You may want to prepare a whole brisket and freeze half for another day.
