2 c. Apples, peeled and cut
1 c. Walnuts, chopped
1 c. Flour
1 c. Sugar
1 t. Soda
1/2 t. Salt
1 Egg, well beaten
1 t. Vanilla
3 T. Butter, melted












Directions:
Directions:
Mix apples and nuts in a large bowl. Mix flour, sugar, soda and salt in a small bowl and add to apple mixture. Stir together egg, vanilla and butter. Stir into apple mixture. Pour into a greased 8 X 8 or 9 X 9 square pan. Bake at 350ºF. for 45 to 50 minutes. Served topped with cool whip or whipped cream.
