1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
8 oz. dates, cut up
4 oz. coconut
1 cup pecans







Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and egg. Beat until light. Sift together flour and soda. Pour onto top of oleo, sugar, egg mixture. Pour dates, coconut, pecans and vanilla onto top of flour mixture. Mix well. Chill dough. Drop by teaspoonful's onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 - 11 minutes. Cool on rack.
