2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 T. vanilla
1 egg
1 tsp. baking powder
2 T. orange juice

FROSTING: ( 1 batch of frosting is enough for a double batch of cookies )
4 c. powdered sugar ( sifted )
3 to 4 T. milk
3/4 to 1c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla

In a large bowl combine all the ingredients and beat on low speed scraping the bowl often for 1 to 2 minutes until blended.
Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours. Then roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness and cut with cookie cutters.
Bake at 400º for 6 to 10 minutes, when cool, frost and decorate.

FROSTING:
Mix all ingredients until when blended.
