1 pound ground round...
1/2 pound ground pork...
1 egg...
3 slices of day old bread, dried...
1 onion, chopped fine...
1 t peppermint leaves....
1 T salt...
1/2 t freshly ground pepper...
1/2 t cinnamon...
1 T olive oil...
1/3 t baking soda...
1/4 cup red wine...
1 T tomato paste...

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º...
Dissolve baking soda in red wine..,
Mix all ingredients well and shape into round patties...
Place these on a greased cookie sheet...
Bake until done, 30 to 40 minutes..
Serve plain or with a tomato sauce...

I usually make a tomato sauce, cook a box of pasta,too...
Place meatballs in sauce for 20 minutes after resting on baking sheet 15 minutes from the oven...
Serve with a green salad, crusty bread and a good red wine...
